Bosco Italia S.p.A., certified with ISO 9000, leader in the industrial
sound-proofing sector for the past 20 years,
plans, builds and implements noise reduction and active noise control systems.
Bosco Italia produces industrially specific products for soundproofing.
All the elements can be used for cladding walls and ceilings or for building
silent cabins, screens and other items.
Before carrying out any soundproofing, whether in a working environment
of outside it is necessary to be certain that the acoustic results desired
will be reached.
In order to ensure this scientifically we have created a new system of acoustic
planning called: NOISE CONTROL.
The system uses calculation models which make it possible to determine the
effective noise reduction that a given programme will provide.
The procedures for developing the project begin with meticulous gathering
of acoustic data relative to the phenomenon in question, and continue with
the analysis of the contingent conditions (decrease over space and time
of acoustic vibrations, coefficients of absorption and capacity for diffusion
of the surrounding surfaces). The values are then elaborated by original
software, capable of carrying out, in a relatively brief period of time,
the calculation of an enormous volume of algorithms.
One of the most critical areas in acoustic insulation of areas
which house engine test benches, generators, air compression units or acoustic
laboratories, is undoubtedly the doors, the gates and the windows. All these
components must have noise reduction standards identical or superior to
those of the walls, the ceilings and the walls which form the room itself.
Bosco Italia doors and windows guarantee the highest levels of noise reduction
(more than 40 dB).
DOORS AND GATES
These are built in very thick steel with one or two doors. The doors are
padded with soundproofing materials and fitted into a very strong frame
bolted to the brick walls of the chamber.
WINDOWS
Our noise reducing windows comprise a pair of tempered glass layers of differing
thickness with a vacuum between them.
Some versions of the doors and windows are tested REI120 in accordance with
UNI 8270/7 standards.
INDUSTRIAL SILENCERS
"Silencers" are the equipment which, fitted along a flow of noise,
noticeably reduce its volume.
Essentially industrial silencers consist of a metal casing containing noise
reduction elements and noise reducing cavities through which the flow of
air is channelled.
"L" SERIES SILENCERS
These are mixed silencers (reactive and dissipatory) designed to silence
the noise generated by gaseous fluxes which emit pure tones with high frequency
components.
The present application of "L" series silencers is for the silencing
of compressed air exhausts, steam exhausts and all those sources of noise
generated by a gas during lamination processes.
"R" SERIES SILENCERS
These are mixed silencers (reactive and dissipatory) designed to silence
the noise generated by gaseous fluxes which emit pure tones with low frequency
components. The present application of "R" series silencers is
for the silencing of exhaust gases from endothermic engines (diesel cycles)
or intake or outlets of pumps or piston compressors.
"V" SERIES SILENCERS
These are mixed silencers (reactive and dissipatory) designed to silence
the noise generated by gaseous fluxes which emit pure tones with wide range
frequency components. The present application of "V" series silencers
is for silencing intake and exhaust of gas turbines or high pressure centrifugal
ventilators."V" silencers may be made with a circular section
of standard sizes, or in a customised rectangular section according to the
spaces for installation.
DATA NECESSARY FOR THE CORRECT SIZING OF THE SILENCERS
Flow of the fluids: Kg/h
Pressure: bar
Temperature of the fluid: °C
Loss of limit load: mm c.d.a.
Diameter of coupling: mm
SILENCING OF EXHAUSTS
The same principal can be applied to exhausts. The equipment
is obviously larger. The use of an active noise control system, for example
on the exhaust of an internal combustion engine, offers the following advantages:*
exceptional reduction at low frequencies (50 - 350 Hz);* no counterpressure
of the exhaust (loss of load)
improved energetic performance with consequent reduction of exhaust gas
emissions
(between 0,6 e 2,9% for internal combustion engines);
reduced weight and size;
robust mechanics and components;
optimisation of the performance of the silencer according to the speed of
the engine.

The results supply a precise evaluation of the global level of noise which can be obtained after each intervention and are represented graphically with detailed, coloured maps.
Soundproofed sheds are buildings designed to contain noisy technological plant.
They are used to insulate:
The components used are prefabricated and industrially produced. They therefore guarantee:
Production is controlled according to the most severe quality standards of ISO 29000.All the components have certified acoustic, mechanical, fireproofing, resistance to atmospheric agents, rust proofing, damp-proofing and mould and bacteria resistance standards.
THE GUARANTEE OF ACOUSTIC AND STRUCTURAL RESULTS.
The acoustic and structural characteristics are contractually guaranteed. The silenced ventilation systems, the doors, the windows and the silenced technological waste exhausts (compressed air, steam, gas, etc.) all contribute to the final acoustic result.
SOUNDPROOF CLADDING FOR INTERIORS
The technique of Soundproof Cladding makes it possible to attain considerable
reductions in environmental noise, since the reflected or reverberated acoustic
energy is almost completely eliminated. The operation consists of installing
special soundproofing elements, which guarantee a high coefficient of absorption
(AS) on the walls and ceiling.
The elements used for the cladding of the walls have an external layer in steel with various finishes (stainless steel, aluminium, zinc coated, pre-painted, etc.) 6/10 cm thick.
These systems are widely used in the food industry, panel beating, the packing
industry and carpentry shops. The ceiling cladding includes soundproofed elements
known as (baffles).
